Objective:

  • Students will demonstrate their understanding of diagramming subjects, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, prepositional phrases, and compound sentences.

Activities:

  • Review diagramming homework from the previous night.
  • Students will have a 15 question diagramming quiz to show their understanding.

Let's revisit the video you took notes on for homework and then work through the sentences at the end together.



Homework:

Students will be given 5 sentences that have already been diagrammed and they will need to write the sentence in word form. This will show that they understand the relationship between the words on the diagram and how they create a sentence.
